I very much like the combination of rustic & modern in this stoneware. The tan sand like bottom & speckles throughout each piece, along with the imbedded swirls thoughout are so appealing. The mugs are a generous 16 ozs. for enjoying all our hot beverages!

Nice stoneware set!

I am loving the design of the Better Homes and Garden Abott stoneware dinnerware set! It is a 16 piece set with 4 of each- dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and mug. They are easy to clean either in the dishwasher or hand washing. I have hand washed and dish washed mine without any issues. They are microwave safe, although they warn they may be hot. Great addition!

Pretty dinnerware!!

These dishes are very pretty. They are a nice weight and they look great. They are cream color with beige speckles with a darker beige color along the bottom. The darker beige is unfinished and has a fine sand like finish. There is a swirl design that is slightly recessed and is a little darker than the cream color.

The measurements and weights are as follows: Dinner Plates – size 10.5 inches across and weigh 29.24 ounces; Salad Plates – size 8.5 inches across and weigh 18.2 ounces; Bowls – 6.00 inches across and 2.25 inches deep and weigh 20.0 ounces; Mugs – 3.75 inches across the top (they are slightly bigger on the bottom) and 3.25 inches deep and weigh 17.88 ounces.

The complete set includes 4 Dinner Plates, 4 Salad Plates, 4 Bowls, and 4 Mugs.

They went into the dishwasher and came out with no issues. They are stamped that they are microwave safe (may become hot in the microwave), but I have not done that yet.

These will make a nice small set or will pare with other dishes to add to your current place settings for a larger gathering.

Very nice set of dishes

I really love this set 16 piece dinnerware set. It comes with 4 dinner plates, 4 bowls, 4 salad plates, and 4 mugs. It's dishwasher and microwave safe. Each piece has a very modern and beautiful swirl textured pattern and each piece looks as though it was lightly dipped in clay. It looks great on the table and seems quite durable. The mugs are slightly larger than expected which I love!

The Better Home & Gardens About Stoneware 16 piece dinnerware set is really nice and sturdy. I really like the neutral colors and how calming the colors are. The dinnerware set itself is super sturdy and of high quality and actually feels pretty heavy and of high quality. I have used this set for small gatherings and have gotten so many compliments. If you are in the market for yourself or to buy as a gift, you will definitely want to get a set. You will not be disappointed.

Great quality and great looks!

The dinnerware set comes packaged very well in one box with the pieces individually boxed. The set consists of 4 dinner plates, 4 salad plates, 4 large mugs and 4 bowls. The color is neutral, very fashionable. The surface is grooved, but easy to clean. All of the pieces are on the thick side and are somewhat heavy. All of the pieces are microwaveable and dishwasher safe. I prefer a lighter weight plate, but I am happy with this set.

Some chips in the plates and bowls out of the box, but otherwise, they've been great plates and bowls to use. No issues with washing in the dishwasher. Sturdy to use. Buying another set because they're nice.

I'm in love with this set! Every piece has a noticeable flaw but I'm trying to let it go bc I do truly love the set so much. I think it just adds character. But the dishes are sturdy and very good quality! Highly recommend if you're thinking about it!

Love them despite flaws

I wanted to love this set. I read so many reviews about their dishes being broken on arrival but decided to take a chance. My set arrived intact, but almost every dish and cup has what appears as staining under the glaze, making them appear dirty. If it were on one or two, I might have kept it..but it's every one. It's hard to capture on film, but I tried. One plate has big dark brown blotches. Looks like part of the “speckling” went wrong. Very disappointing.

Miss

Buyer beware!! This set of dinnerware can ONLY be sent via mail. I ordered two sets and both arrived damaged, due to poor packaging. One box actually arrived as is, no additional package; very bizarre. 
This order was a waste of time and money. And it’s not worth the effort to reorder. I’m taking them both back to the store. 
I also didn’t like the unfinished layer on the dishes (towards the bottom; tan area). It is not sealed and rough to the touch. And it might become an issue with extensive use (ex. food build up, chipping). The bottom ring under each dish is not sealed either. I had concerns about scratching. Since I was going to stack them on top of each other. 
I hope others had better luck! Now I’m on the search for another set I can pick up in stores.
