Confused why i bought a membership but still have gotten charged both times I have used the bikes… isn’t that why I bought the membership ahead of time? Aside from that it’s really nice that they have so many hubs across our town to share these bikes and the trails all connect. I was nervous I would be too short for the bikes but they are the perfect height and have low bars so it’s easy to get on. I did notice I could get the gears to go up but not down so I ended up on 5 for the whole ride which made it difficult going uphill. Not sure if you’re able to test the bikes for this kind of thing before you start the rental…

I was trying to use a locker at a bar and this app was the only way to rent the locker. It collects all of your information and credit card first. Well the first three lockers I tried to scan weren’t recognized, so I should have heeded the red flags then. When I finally “successfully “ scanned a locker that was recognized, it started charging me for the rental, but the locker NEVER LOCKED. I spent 10 minutes turning my Bluetooth on and off, closing and reopening the app, and no success. I could not end the rental because it said that it would only end if it was locked, which obviously was the freaking problem. I had just gotten to the bar and was not drinking, only wanted a place to put my purse so I could dance with my friends. I went to get the security staff to help me, and they couldn’t figure it out. They asked their management for help, and they said that they had nothing to do with the lockers as they are run by the company and that I should call them. There is no number to call. I put in error reports but there was no immediate resolution. It is midday the next day and this rental is STILL open and charges are still growing on my card. Completely frustrating. Do not ever use this app.

We wanted to rent bikes at Islandic State Park. The app uses Bluetooth to connect to the lock on the bikes to unlock the one you want to rent. The idea is a solar panel on the bike charges the lock, but it obviously doesn’t work well. We had to try 8 different bikes to find one that had any battery power to turn on the lock’s Bluetooth, then it actually unlocked another bike that I hadn’t scanned with the app. The bike was not well maintained. Gears slipped and the brakes didn’t work. The process sounds great, but it just wasn’t pulled off well.
